Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much does it cost to sell my land with YourLandStore?
We charge 1% of the sale price on successful completion only, subject to a minimum fee of £1,500 . There are no upfront costs, no monthly charges and nothing to pay unless we find you a buyer.
Can I list my land with Your Landstore if it's already being marketed by another agent?
Yes. Our standard agency agreement is multi-agency, meaning you can usually market your land with Your Landstore while it is also being advertised by another estate agent or land agent.
If your existing agreement is sole agency or sole selling rights, you should check the terms of that agreement before instructing another agent. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to explain how our agreement works and help you understand your options.
You only pay our fee if Your Landstore introduces the successful buyer and completes the sale through our agency.
Q: How do I get started?
Simply register as a seller on YourLandStore, create your listing and upload your details — or contact us directly and we’ll guide you through the process.
Q: Do I need to pay anything upfront?
No. You only pay our fee when your land successfully sells. There are no listing fees, no marketing charges and no hidden costs.
Q: What types of land do you sell?
We sell all types of land across the UK including agricultural land, building plots, residential and commercial development sites, woodland, equestrian land, smallholdings, farms, investment land and residential property with land.
Q: Do you need to visit my land before listing it?
Nobody knows your land better than you. That’s why we’ve created a modern online onboarding process where you can upload photographs, maps and the details that make your land unique. If you’d prefer, we’ll create the listing for you from the information you provide.
Q: Where will my land be listed?
Your land will be advertised on Your Landstore and, where appropriate, leading property portals including Zoopla, specialist land websites and targeted social media to maximise exposure to genuine land buyers.
Q: What are the onboarding documents?
When you list your land we ask you to complete a simple set of onboarding documents covering ownership details, and agency agreement, any planning history, title information and any relevant restrictions or covenants. These help us present your land accurately to buyers and manage enquiries effectively on your behalf.
Q: Who handles buyer enquiries?
We do. All enquiries come directly to YourLandStore. We qualify buyers, answer questions about your land and keep you updated throughout the process. You don’t need to deal with buyers directly unless you want to.
Q: How long will it take to sell my land?
This varies depending on the type, location and asking price of your land. We will advise you on realistic pricing and marketing strategy to give your listing the best chance of finding the right buyer as quickly as possible.
Q: Can you sell land anywhere in the UK?
Yes. We operate across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our remote model means geography is no barrier.
Q: What if I'm not sure whether to sell or if my land has development potential?
If you’re unsure whether your land might have development value before selling it, our sister company Revive Estates specialises in land promotion and planning assessments. A free assessment could help you understand whether your land is worth more than you think before committing to a sale.
Q: Can I sell land that has planning permission already in place?
Absolutely. We regularly sell land with existing planning permission including building plots, residential development sites and commercial development land. Planning permission in place often significantly increases buyer interest and achievable price.
Why should I sell my land with a specialist land agency?
Unlike general estate agents who mainly sell residential property, Your Landstore specialises in marketing land. We understand the different types of land buyers, how to present land effectively and where to market it to achieve the widest possible exposure.
Why is Your Landstore different from a traditional estate agent?
We’ve combined the convenience of creating your listing online with the full service of a specialist land agency. You can create your own listing or we’ll do it for you, before marketing your land, handling enquiries, negotiating offers and progressing the sale through to completion.
Do I need planning permission before selling land?
No. Land can often be sold without planning permission. Depending on the location and potential uses, buyers may purchase land subject to obtaining planning consent. If you’re unsure whether your land has development potential, we may recommend a planning assessment before marketing.
